The metal lathe is a support tool that can help you repair existing parts as well as fabricate complete parts and tools. This hands-on course is designed to remove the mysteries surrounding lathe application
in the repair shop by teaching the fundamentals of facing, turning, drilling and boring through fabricating band instrument repair related parts and tools. The primary goal of this class is for participants to leave with applicable skills, knowledge
and support materials to integrate a metal lathe into a number of repair processes. The course will also teach measuring and tool bit grinding, shaping and sharpening. Some time may be dedicated to maintaining and adjusting both older and newer machines
and which lathe accessories are critical vs. nice-to-have.
Whether you have a lathe and have yet to explore its potential or are considering purchasing a lathe, this course should be able to help you.

to the clinician and your fellow audience members and not be disruptive in the clinic.
